Glass coating pika pika rain that is the most popular in Japan

This time, I decided to try to the glass coating application by myself,
and I bought Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM because it has good reputations when I researched.

This is really easy for beginners.

I did the necessary works such as car washing and the preparation.
Finally, my car became beautiful only by applying Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM.

I felt that the point was wiping the glass coating completely.

I applied it to PRIUS, but the half of a bottle remained.
However, it has water repellency and the gloss is different clearly.

If the water-sliding effect will go down, I will apply Pika Pika Rain again.

I applied two types of glass coating on the bonnet.

The right passenger seat side to you is Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM,
and the left side driver seat to you is other company’s glass coating.

Other company’s one is like s solid wax, so its texture after wiping is greasy.

I feel the gloss, glare and water repellency are similar.

2 weeks passed after I shot this video,
Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM is more difficult to get dirt.

I applied Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM in January.
My brand new car was delivered at the end of December, so I didn’t polish it.
I washed it with car shampoo which is contained degreaser and removed the iron fillings with a clay carefully.

Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM spread well and wiping is easily, therefore I could apply it evenly.

If I could prepare one more thing, spares of microfiber cloth for wiping is should be better to wipe smother.
(I bought two pieces of them for JPY 350 in Rakuten Ichiba.)

The quarter of bottle remained, so it is enough to apply for almost all cars.

In my case, I was worried about sudden rain, night and morning dews,
so I applied it at the underground parking area and I kept it there for one night.

By the way, the time of application was about 3 hours.

After the application, the gloss was different completely.
I couldn’t imagine that my car got the deep gloss like this.
About the water repellency, first it was hydrophobic, but it got rain a few times,
it changed to water-sliding effect and I was impressed by it could find it clearly.

(I confirmed the water-sliding effect by my wife’s DAIHATSU WAKE, too.)

Looking forward to its durability from now.
At the moment, I’m satisfied with it because car washing makes the gloss refresh even though it gets dirty,
also I can recommend this product with my confidence.

Before: The repainted bonnet by the car detailers for some reasons.
(I had been keeping it inside for 3 months.)
I washed my car with car shampoo and sprayed the water.

After: After car washing, I removed iron filings with a clay for the bonnet and applied Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM.
I sprayed the water to my car which is applied from 1 week.
(I had been keeping it inside as well.)

The benefits: First of all, the water run down, not stay on the bonnet.

I’ve heard about Pika Pika Rain several times from radio commercial in my car.
At that time I doubted it a little, so I could not try it.
However, I was reapply surprised at its high reputations when I check the Internet.
Then I bought this finally.

【About the package and contents】

☆ It was very simple. There were 3 pieces of sponge in the box and
two of them were spare if we drop it during the application same as car wax.
This idea which might come from people who has experiences in applying glass coating is very thankful for me.

☆The glass coating liquid was in a small bottle.
“Is this enough?”
First I was worried like this, but I could applied it well, because the sponge made us not to apply too much.
However, for the people who have never applied car coating before might apply it too much.
Not a few people think that if we apply it much, the glass layer will thicker.

☆I think that it is better to explain how to apply more detail on the package.
“See the movie” is fine, but I’m happy that if the instruction is written clearly.

☆This time was no problem because I bought it during the 3 more Microfiber Cloth campaign.
However, I would like to get one more Microfiber Cloth
– one is for washing and another is for applying glass coating.

【About applying】

☆The sponge is the appropriate size, so I could apply Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM without any troubles.
It also spread well. It might be difficult to find the application process for light-color cars.

☆This kind of products need to dry the water after car washing, so the long-time application is a difficult point.
However, the more you do it carefully, the more durability can be longer.

☆Small scratches can be made unnoticeable.
Maybe scratches from car wash machines as well, but I don’t know about it because I’ve never used it.

☆It looks beautiful a little directly after the application,
but I feel that the color is so much deeper a few days later.
I could feel this in a light-color car, and the fact that in a deep-color car even more so.

【About water repellency and dirt resistance】

☆I recorded the video, if my car get wet, the water repellency is nice.
I’m happy when I find beautiful flowing water on the car body even though drizzle.

☆As I recorded in the video, the water was flowing on the bonnet while I drove my car
and I felt so nice due to the water repellency.
When I drove my car in a crowded nationalroad, I checked the dirty by wiping with microfiber cloth,
but I could find the remarkable dirt.
Therefore, the maintenance is not needed so much after raining.
(Less water spots adhere on the car body, so the maintenance will be easy in the future.)
