Glass coating pika pika rain that is the most popular in Japan

I took the plunge and applied Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM this time because many car paint surfaces were renewed due to the traffic accident.

I was surprised with the gloss after the application,
but I was surprised with car washing after the application more than anything.

First I thought that water-sliding effect was not so different from hydrophobic and it’s okay if my car get dirt not so much.

But the water was sliding! I felt that this is “the water-sliding effect”.

It will cost more than 50,000 JPY if I ask professionals to apply,
on the other hand just 10,000 JPY will cost if do it myself.

I applied Super Pika Pika Rain 3 years ago, and the gloss, water repellency,
especially antifouling by insects were so nice.
Moreover, it only needs car washing as the after maintenance, so I was satisfied with it.

One day, I recommended Pika Pika Rain Super when I was asked what I was doing for keeping beautiful my car,
however, on the contrary, I was recommended Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM which is a new product and it was also satisfied with this, too.

Then I applied Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM, because almost the effect of Super Pika Pika Rain might fade.
I took a half day for the preparation to make the best effect, but the application was finished with an hour.
The liquid was spread well as Super Pika Pika Rain, so more than half of a bottle remained.

It was still 3 weeks after the application, but I found that it made the better water repellency than Super when I washed my car.

A big difference between Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM and Super Pika Pika Rain was easy to dry the water
because the water had already slide.
Therefore, car washing will be comfortable from now on.

One of my friends who applied Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM by my recommendation said that
he was recommended an expensive coating every filling up at a service station before applying Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM,
but now, he was not recommended anymore and it was so nice.

I’m expecting their better product development from now on.

I applied two types of glass coating on the bonnet.

The right passenger seat side to you is Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM,
and the left side driver seat to you is other company’s glass coating.

Other company’s one is like s solid wax, so its texture after wiping is greasy.

I feel the gloss, glare and water repellency are similar.

2 weeks passed after I shot this video,
Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM is more difficult to get dirt.

I can recommend it!

I’ve heard about Pika Pika Rain several times from radio commercial in my car.
At that time I doubted it a little, so I could not try it.
However, I was reapply surprised at its high reputations when I check the Internet.
Then I bought this finally.

【About the package and contents】

☆ It was very simple. There were 3 pieces of sponge in the box and
two of them were spare if we drop it during the application same as car wax.
This idea which might come from people who has experiences in applying glass coating is very thankful for me.

☆The glass coating liquid was in a small bottle.
“Is this enough?”
First I was worried like this, but I could applied it well, because the sponge made us not to apply too much.
However, for the people who have never applied car coating before might apply it too much.
Not a few people think that if we apply it much, the glass layer will thicker.

☆I think that it is better to explain how to apply more detail on the package.
“See the movie” is fine, but I’m happy that if the instruction is written clearly.

☆This time was no problem because I bought it during the 3 more Microfiber Cloth campaign.
However, I would like to get one more Microfiber Cloth
– one is for washing and another is for applying glass coating.

【About applying】

☆The sponge is the appropriate size, so I could apply Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM without any troubles.
It also spread well. It might be difficult to find the application process for light-color cars.

☆This kind of products need to dry the water after car washing, so the long-time application is a difficult point.
However, the more you do it carefully, the more durability can be longer.

☆Small scratches can be made unnoticeable.
Maybe scratches from car wash machines as well, but I don’t know about it because I’ve never used it.

☆It looks beautiful a little directly after the application,
but I feel that the color is so much deeper a few days later.
I could feel this in a light-color car, and the fact that in a deep-color car even more so.

【About water repellency and dirt resistance】

☆I recorded the video, if my car get wet, the water repellency is nice.
I’m happy when I find beautiful flowing water on the car body even though drizzle.

☆As I recorded in the video, the water was flowing on the bonnet while I drove my car
and I felt so nice due to the water repellency.
When I drove my car in a crowded nationalroad, I checked the dirty by wiping with microfiber cloth,
but I could find the remarkable dirt.
Therefore, the maintenance is not needed so much after raining.
(Less water spots adhere on the car body, so the maintenance will be easy in the future.)

☆I sent my question about the application and I got the replied next day.
It was thankful.
Quickly respond is essential for the internet shopping like they.

☆About the gloss, car wax might be better than Pika Pika Rain, but, I think that it is pretty good.
The work becomes easy for long term, it is so wonderful!

My car is 30 years old even though its traveling distance is not so long 2km,
so the gloss many scratches and I think that I want to deal with them.

Professional car detailers is expensive far beyond my means and
I have been trying to other DIY glass coating products, but I’ve never satisfied with all of them.

This time, I decided to try Pika Pika Rain PREMIUM because this has good reputations in the Internet.

I washed my car, removed the oil and other substances, dried the water with wiping and using the air blow and finally I applied it carefully.

It spread very well and the work is easier than I thought.
The gloss was clearly different between the parts where I applied or not.
Also it made scratches less noticeable.

The heat resistance is high, so I applied it to the cover of exhaust manifold which is a symbol of GST-R.

The one third of a bottle remained, so I’m going to reapply it after 2 weeks.
I was worried that I could apply it as you know my car is so old,
but in the end, I was satisfied with the result.

My job is car maintenance man, so I can recommend this product as DIY car glass coating to my customers.
